2020 Goals: Week 3 of 52

Progress on my 2020 goals.
This is Week 3, and there was not a week 2 update.

1.  Scan Old Photos and Slides
Digitize family photos and slides:
 - Slides from Farm
 - Photo Albums from Farm
 - Nana's photos
 - College and Early Marriage Years photos

No progress this week on this goal

2.  Daily Gospel Study
In addition to daily 10 minutes reading in the Book of Mormon, spend 20 minutes per day studying:
 - Come Follow Me 2020 Book of Mormon
 - Inklings (Pres Nelson's challenge/invitation from Oct 2019 Conference)
 - General Conference Talks

Lots of Come Follow Me study and organization.  I am on target with CFM.  I have decided that on Mondays I have to read all the assigned scriptures.  Then throughout the week I can listen to the podcasts and related General Conference talks.
I did 1 or 2 weeks of Inklings since my last Goals update but several weeks behind schedule.  I studied 1 or 2 General Conference Talks.  Really need to do 2 per week to study them all before April conference.

3.  Purge and Organize
Purge excess items from our home and organize what remains.

We went through the armoire, including the 72 hr kits which held a lot of lovely expired surprises and little girl clothes that won't even come close to fitting teenage daughters anymore.
We also went through several nightstand drawers but not the filing folder drawers, and Adam's Under-bed drawer.
We have identified a ton of stuff to get rid of but have not done the needed shredding or delivered the donate pile.
But PROGRESS continues!

4.  Train Brady
Work with Brady on specific behavior goals...
 - Clippers
 - Walking etiquette/behavior

I need to be a lot more consistent with this.  Brady and I tried to take a walk on any day that was 50 degrees or more, which was more than you would expect in January.  The struggle is if I walk him everyday, he gets better each day.  But then we miss a day, or more, and he loses most of the progress.  I only worked with him on the clippers once or twice, and that needs to be a daily activity.

5.  Virtual Walk to Salt Lake City
We're approaching the Peculiar exit on I-49.  I expect that this week we'll have made it to the Kansas City Temple.

6.  Build The Treasured Legacy
Making connections with the Instagram knitting community and working on multiple projects.  Hoping to have several hats ready for sale by the end of January.

7.  Read 6 non-fiction books
 - One by One by David A Bednar

No progress

8.  Be more Social - Host regular Game Nights
We hosted a game night on the 10th with 2 other couples.  Then on the 17th, one of those couples hosted and a new couple joined us.  The other couple from our first night is hosting on the 24th.  This has been fun!  I am especially excited to discover that several others in our group turn into pumpkins about 9/9:30 pm so while we're having fun, we're not staying out to midnight and paying for it the next day.

9.  Temple
Attend the Temple at least 12 times in 2020.

First temple trip of 2020 is in the books!  My friend D and I went on Wednesday morning.  It was fabulous!  And the time went so quick, we actually left the temple just before Noon so we had a leisurely lunch and then checked out Trader Joe's for the first time.  So many have raved about Trader Joe's that I was sure we'd love it.  It was fine but not particularly exciting so I don't think it'll become a monthly tradition.

10.  Clean out Recipes to Try 2020 Pinterest Board
Start of 2020 = 390 recipes.
Today = 377 recipes
We tried several new recipes over the past 2 weeks.  Most were edible but disappointing.  One half-winner is this Bibimbap recipe.  We LOVED the veggies but the meat was not as good as this Korean beef recipe so we'll use one for the meat and one for the veggies.
As I looked for recipes to try, I deleted a few that have ingredients I'll never actually buy.  Down 10 recipes since Week 1's update!!

11.  Create 12 Photo Books
Didn't work on this at all - but did you catch the progress on the recipes?

12.  Be vigilent/Daily Tasks
I downloaded and printed a habit tracker.  Now to fill it out and USE it
