Magic House

In mid-January, we headed up to see Jim, Denise, Luke, Jayna and Isaac. Kaylyn was out of school on Friday so we headed up early and went to the Magic House with Denise and the kids.
We quickly found our way to the 6 and under area. And after 30+ minutes, had to drag the kids away from the slide.
This is Morgan going down backwards, looking back up at me. Luke in one of the tunnels.
Adam and I disagreed on whether he could get through the tunnel. We compromised - he could get in but couldn't make the second turn. Here he is at the second turn.

Adam also had fun playing with the large "legos". After watching him build his "castle", we decided Isaac needed to join him.
Here's Jayna in the net tunnel (which is up in the air if you can't tell).
Morgan tried the board next to the mesh tunnel.Kaylyn loved exploring at the water table. I believe that's Adam playing in the background.
Morgan driving the boat.
Everyone enjoyed their time. And Kaylyn keeps asking when we're going back. We went to Luke and Jayna's in February but due to weather had to get on the road instead of playing at the Magic House.

Let's Cook

Adam has the tradition of making fudge every Christmas (and other times too). We didn't get a chance to in December so instead, we made it the first week of January. Kaylyn and Morgan both wanted to help. We had just received our Christmas presents from Robin and Matt - aprons for everyone. Here are Kaylyn and Adam pausing from fudge making to grin at the camera. And here's Morgan on the chair standing behind Daddy, hoping to help too. Not sure where her apron is - she has one that matches Kaylyn's.
The next day while Sissy and Daddy were at work and Mommy was distracted in another room...

This is what I discovered when I went to investigate the strange sounds from the kitchen. If you can't tell from the picture. Morgan grabbed a fork and got herself some of the fudge. She was very happy with herself, because her tummy was full of fudge. So all the goodie plates of fudge that I had planned went out the window.

Christmas at the Farm

The day after Christmas we headed to the farm for a Du Brul family Christmas. My Uncle Alan (Dad's brother) and Nana were there too. This is one of the few pictures I have of Alan, from any time. Granny and Poppa spoiled our girls. Morgan loved her baby doll.
Kaylyn got a pizza which quickly became her favorite toy to play with. And Morgan loves it too while Sissy's at school.
Sandy and Jo weren't able to make it but sent their presents. Here's Morgan with her drum (I really need to pay Sandy and Jo back for all their noise making toys over the years - I'm thinking Joseph deserves a SUPER GIGANTIC VOLCANO KIT.)

Kaylyn was ecstatic over her mini Ariel set.
Robin and Matt with their family had to do a last minute cancel for their travel plans to join us because of illness in their family. And Christmas gatherings are finally done.

A Return to Christmas - Part 4

Apparently, I never finished posting Christmas. So here we got with a few more Christmas posts.

My parents and Nana came over in the afternoon on Christmas, just before we were ready for Morgan's "date with blankie" (nap for normal families). We had plans to go to Granny and Poppa's the next day to open their presents but the girls got to open presents from Nana while she was there.

I missed a picture of Nana, sorry. After presents, we created Miis on the Wii for Granny, Poppa and Nana. Nana and Granny then played a game of bowling with Kaylyn and Adam.

After they left, we sat down for our Christmas dinner of turkey breast. As we sat down to eat, Morgan decided she was done for the day and didn't care if she had her date with her or not.
